CF Sign Replacment

For this project, the CF sign was removed and replaced using rope access techniques, ensuring a safe and efficient update without the need for scaffolding or heavy equipment.

Process:

1. Concrete Integrity Inspection

Before installing the new sign, a thorough concrete integrity inspection was performed to ensure the surface could securely support the new signage. Rope access technicians assessed the structural condition, looking for cracks, spalling, and other signs of deterioration. Any areas of concern were documented, and necessary repairs or reinforcements were recommended before proceeding.

2. Old Sign Removal

Technicians descended to the sign’s location and carefully detached the old panel, securing any loose materials to prevent debris from falling. Fasteners and mounting brackets were removed or adjusted as needed.

3. Surface Preparation

The concrete surface was cleaned and inspected again after the old sign was removed. Any weak or damaged areas were treated to ensure a strong and even mounting surface.

4. New Sign Installation

The updated CF logo sign was lifted into position using specialized rope rigging techniques. Technicians aligned it precisely and secured it with new fasteners, ensuring a firm attachment resistant to wind and weather conditions.

5. Final Inspection

A thorough check was conducted to verify the stability, alignment, and durability of the new sign. The surrounding area was also inspected to ensure no damage occurred during installation.

Using rope access for this operation minimized disruption to site operations, reduced costs, and provided a safe and effective solution for working at height
